SOHO Coffee at Armenian Street
Finally found a day to head to this cozy little place at a corner which I would have definitely overlooked if I wasn’t looking for it. Was there with Hsu for hours, just chatting, relaxing the public holiday away.
SOHO Beef burger had really, really thick and tasty patty; we could taste the beefy notes and the coarsely ground beef made it obvious that it was no processed food. Unfortunately, the burger was piled too high to be eaten with burger-eating dignity: with hands and large munches. The addition of bacon also cancelled some of the yummy beefy taste of the patty. Pity.
SOHO Breakfast set was pretty value for money, $16 for really creamy scrambled eggs (just the way I like it), sausage (mediocre), bacon (not bad), a slice of toast (soggy for some reason), grilled tomato and salad with vinaigrette, complete with a cup of Americano.
Coffee was average, thankfully not too acidic, but not full-bodied enough.
Would go back though, if just for a casual relaxing day out, and if I want to get away from the crowd.
